Youth wrestlers start working on the basic foundations of wrestling at an easy to learn pace.

We focus on position, movement, and level change.  We put a strong emphasis on athletic development.  

WHEN: 

Beginner Youth: (2 seasons or less of wrestling experience)

• Monday Nights 7:00 - 8:00pm, High School Wrestling Room
• Thursday Nights 6:00 - 7:00pm, High School Wrestling Room

Competition:

TBD. Wayzata Wrestling Club covers the registration fee for a select number of tournaments throughout the year. Those tournaments will be communicated after the start of the season.

INCLUDED:

Wrestlers get a club t-shirt to wear at practice.  Team singlets and apparel are available for purchase if they so choose.

REQUIRED:

Wrestlers must wear wrestling shoes, athletic shorts/pants, and a t-shirt during practice.

Wayzata Wrestling now requires every wrestler to be licensed by USA Wrestling for all programs.  

Please Renew or Purchase a USA Wrestling Card for the 2023-2024 season for your wrestler and enter their USAW ID Number on registration form.
